60 items by 60 years old

Not sure if I will be able to do all of these but I will try.

This first started as a fifty by fifty but now that I am older than 55 I have changed this to 60 by 60.

These are not in any particular order but here is my list of things (more than 60 so I have a cushion) that I want to do by the time that I am 60.

  1. Create and maintain and grow a Bucket List. - Done & continuing to grow the list

  2. Bicycle ride entire length of Canal Towpath - Done.

  3. Run a 5K - Done 05/16/2015

  4. Read 50 books (Audible counts) - Done

  5. Work out 4 days a week for two months straight - Done

  6. Keep a food journal and write what I eat everyday for a month - Done

  7. Stop drinking soda for one month - Done

  8. Bicycle to work - Done

  9. Lose 50 pounds (53/50) and keep them off - Done I weigh 190lbs

  10. Drink at least two bottles of water everyday for a month - Done

  11. Finish a bottle of multivitamins - Done

  12. Visit a Frank Loyd Wright house - Done

  13. Walk the Las Vegas Strip - Done

  14. Make new recipes that we have not had before at least 15 times. - Done

  15. Go camping again. - Done

  16. Take a motorcycle camping trip. - Done

  17. Join and ride with a Cycling Club. - Done

  18. Participate in the Tour De Cure 3 times. - Done

  19. Write a blog entry everyday during the work week for one month. - Done

  20. Buy and ride motorcycle again. - Done

  21. Hold a live snake. I am deathly afraid of snakes!!!!! - Done 01/31/2013

  22. Whole Food Plant Based lifestyle - Done from 2013 - 2022 stopped in March 2022.

  23. Complete the 90 days of P90X - Done

  24. Go canoeing or kayaking - Done

  25. Go on a cruise - Done

  26. Learn to forgive. - Done

  27. See The Wizardry World of Harry Potter - Done

  28. Go Skinny Dipping - Done

  29. Do Toastmasters to be better at speaking in public - Done

  30. Do the "Tail of the Dragon" on my motorcycle - Done

  31. Do a triathlon

  32. Visit local art galleries 4 times (2/4)

  33. Visit local Museums 4 times (2/4)

  34. Help someone check off something on their bucket list.

  35. Attend a play that I have not seen before

  36. Try five new restaurants in a year (0/5).

  37. Do a Century (100 miles) ride on my bicycle in a day.

  38. Go on a multi-day bicycle trip by myself.

  39. Go on a multi-day motorcycle trip by myself.

  40. Go to three photography exhibits (0/3)

  41. Take and post one photo a day for a month.

  42. Do Tackle the Tower (or a similar one) again & hopefully beat my previous time.

  43. Avoid the Internet a weekend a month for 12 months. (0/12)

  44. Go on a Jet-ski

  45. Identify 101 things that make me happy by writing it on “Happy Sunday’s”.

  46. Do a Zip line with my wife.. (again very scared of this).

  47. Do 50 push-ups in a row.

  48. Do 20 unassisted pull-ups in a row.

  49. Run a 'Run or Dye' event

  50. Go to a Drive-In movie theater.

  51. Go indoor rock climbing

  52. Stay at a bed and breakfast (again).

  53. Stay in a resort hotel

  54. Stay the night in a treehouse.

  55. Hike part of the Appalachian trail.

  56. Slow dance in the rain.

  57. Walk through Central Park.

  58. Stand in Times Square.

  59. See Mount Rushmore.

  60. Go paint balling

  61. Find and say “Thank you” to people in my past.

  62. Shoot a gun.

  63. Do a Polar Bear Plunge.

  64. See the Grand Canyon

  65. Go white water rafting.

  66. Go mountain biking on trails not bike paths.

  67. Make a movie from start to finish.

  68. Ride my tandem bicycle again - who is interested in riding with me?

  69. Sleep in a hammock.

  70. Sleep under the stars.

  71. Go cross country skiing.

  72. Run/Walk half marathon.

  73. Ride 1000 miles in a day on my motorcycle and send in the requirements for an iron-butt certificate.

  74. Go on a multi-day kayak trip.
