I have done this in the past and stopped doing it for one reason or the other. The first thing that comes to mind is a new job. I am pretty certain that I would not have a job if I was still with my previous company. It would have to do with location not with my abilities. I would have to work out of my house and I am not sure if that would have been allowed on a permanent basis. It was such a good move for me. I still work for "IT" but it is not a manufacturing company. I have learned a lot in the month that I have been there. I also went from sneakers, jeans and a sweatshirt to dress shoes, dress pants and a shirt and tie. Yes I said tie. I know quit laughing. I have been looking at a place online that you can design your own tie.
